1. Who we are

Quicc is operated by Quicc Technologies (OPC) Private Limited. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website, mobile app, tasks, payments and support services.

Our registered office is C/O Krishnappa M, Vishnuvara, Main Road, Ladpura, Sira, Tumakuru, Karnataka – 572137, India. For help with your information, email support@quicc.app.

Quicc is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has given us personal information, we close the account and delete that information, except records the law requires us to keep. If you believe a person under 18 has used Quicc, email support@quicc.app.

2. Information we collect

Most of this information comes from you, your device and your use of Quicc. Payment and payout details also come from Razorpay.

  • Account and profile: phone number, name, username, email, profile photo, bio, date of birth, gender, interests, skills, hobbies and social handles, depending on the details you provide.
  • Activity and content: tasks, offers, proposals, messages and attachments, work submissions, reviews, saved posts, searches, reports, disputes and support requests.
  • Location: places and coordinates you select or attach to posts, and device location when you choose to share it. When you send an offer on an in-person task, the app may send where you are at that moment; we keep it with the offer, to check you are within the distance the poster chose and to show the poster how far away you are, rounded to whole kilometres, never the place itself. Section 4 explains who can see this information.
  • Voice dictation: when you tap the microphone to dictate, your speech is turned into text by your device’s or browser’s own speech recognition service, such as Apple’s on iPhone and iPad or Google’s on Android and in Chrome, under that provider’s terms. Quicc receives only the resulting text, as if you had typed it. We do not record, receive or store the audio.
  • Doer verification: legal name, date of birth, Permanent Account Number (PAN), bank account number and IFSC, email and postal address, a photo ID (a masked Aadhaar with the last 4 digits of its number, or a PAN card), a selfie taken with your camera, submission status and review records. When you verify with DigiLocker, instead of a photo ID: the name, date of birth, gender, care-of name, address and photo on your Aadhaar and the last 4 digits of its number, your PAN and the name on it, the name your bank holds for your account and the bank’s name, and the results of the checks described in section 5. The PAN, bank account number and Aadhaar last 4 digits are stored encrypted; only masked forms are displayed.
  • Payments and payouts: transaction references, amounts, fees, payment and refund status, account-holder name, IFSC and an encrypted bank account number, and your Razorpay payout account and transfer references and status.
  • Devices, network and security: IP address and network information, device and browser identifiers, app or website version, browser and device type, sign-in and session records, and notification tokens where push notifications are enabled. We record these when you sign in and when you use Quicc. If you look around the Quicc app without an account, we note your app install’s identifier, phone platform and app version and when you looked, to count visits and, if you later sign up or sign in on that phone, to see that you looked around first. With notification permission on Android, the app reminds you to sign up twice, and then stops.
  • Referrals: if you sign up with a referral code, we record the code with your account, and whether you made your first payment or were approved as a doer. The partner who shared the code sees only counts, never who you are. To stop fake referrals, we compare the device and network of sign-ups that used the same code.
  • App usage: in the Quicc app, events such as opening the app and its screens, signing up and signing in, finishing your profile, posting a task (whether it is online or in person, and its category), sending and accepting offers, making a payment (its amount) and being approved as a doer, sent with identifiers of your device (including, on Android, its advertising ID), basic device information (model, operating system and app version) and an approximate location worked out from your IP address (city or region, not your exact location). Google Analytics for Firebase collects these for us, as section 7 describes. These events carry no names, phone numbers or message content.
  • Consent records: the version of our Terms and of the verification consent you accepted, when you accepted, and the IP address and device used.

3. How we use information

We use this information to create and secure your account; show nearby tasks; connect members; deliver messages and service notifications; review identity submissions; process payments, refunds and payouts; and respond to reports, disputes and support requests.

We also use relevant information to maintain and improve the service, prevent misuse, investigate fraud, enforce our terms and meet applicable legal obligations. When you use AI drafting or assistant features, your inputs are used to generate the response you request.

Automatic safety checks. What members publish on Quicc is checked automatically, each time it is posted or changed and when our team re-checks older content, using OpenAI’s moderation model and an OpenAI policy model. They look for scams (such as asking for a fee to get a job, or for a password or one-time code), prohibited goods and services, people pretending to be Quicc staff, targeted abuse and spam, and the moderation model also looks for unsafe images. This keeps Quicc safe for everyone, so it happens whether or not you use Quicc AI. We send:

  • Profiles: your username, first name, the initial of your last name (never your full or verified surname), bio and profile photo.
  • Tasks you post: the title, description and photo.
  • Questions and answers: a question you ask on a task, and your answer to a question on your task.
  • Reviews: the words you write in a review.
  • Portfolio works: the title, description, link and up to five photos.

Photos go only to the moderation model, as a link that works for 5 minutes; the policy model gets text only. These checks never send your chat messages or chat photos and files, identity documents or verification details, phone number, email, exact location or payment details. Photos and files sent in a chat are checked by Quicc’s own systems and team, not by these models. Our team reviews content the checks flag.

Matching tasks and people. When we switch this on, to show members the tasks that suit them, we send OpenAI’s embeddings model the text of tasks (title, category and subcategory, whether it is online or in person, and description) and what members say about themselves (skills, interests, hobbies, bio, and the titles of their portfolio works and of the tasks they made offers on), and use the result to rank Browse.

Ordering Browse. We order the tasks you see in Browse using where you are or the place you picked, the skills, interests and hobbies you picked, the kinds of tasks you have offered on, saved or searched for, and, for each poster, when they last used Quicc and how many offers and questions they answered. Our Terms explain the order.

Chat summaries. The poster of a task can ask Quicc AI, or a connected AI app, to summarise the task’s chat. To write the summary, we send OpenAI the recent written messages of both members in that chat, the poster’s and the hired doer’s. A message with contact details, such as a phone number, email or UPI ID, or with an address is left out first. Chat photos and files are never sent. Only the poster who asked sees the summary, or the app they asked through.

Support and disputes. Support may use AI to help review disputes and support requests; a person makes every decision. When a paid task is disputed, we send OpenAI what was shared about that task, so it can prepare a summary for our team: the written messages in the task’s chat, in the dispute and in any request to cancel the task, the work the doer delivered (its text, and the text of files such as PDFs), the text of web pages linked in those messages, and the photos the poster and the doer shared in that chat or delivered as the work. Phone numbers, email addresses, UPI IDs, addresses and ID or bank numbers are removed from the text first, and members are called “Poster” and “Doer”, not by name. Pictures on linked web pages and pages of scanned PDFs are not sent, only their text. Location and other details stored inside a photo are removed before it is sent, but what the photo shows is sent as it is, so don’t share photos of documents or cards in a chat. Identity documents, verification details and profile photos are never sent. To help our team reply to a support request, the messages in that request, with contact details removed, may be sent to OpenAI to draft a reply that a person checks before sending. Nothing the AI writes is shown to members as its own decision.

Measuring the app and our ads. We use the app usage events in section 2 to see how the app is used and to improve it, and to measure how well Quicc’s Google Ads campaigns bring people to Quicc. We don’t use them to show you ads in Quicc.

Preventing fraud. We use automated and manual checks, including information about your account, device, network and payments, to prevent fraud and keep Quicc safe. We may hold a payment or payout for review by our team. We also use these records, with payment, chat, work and consent records, to respond to chargebacks and disputes.

4. Location and visibility

A location you choose may be saved on your device and, when signed in, against your account for nearby discovery. You can update your selected location or turn off device location permission in your browser or device settings. Turning off permission does not erase locations already saved.

Locations attached to posts can be visible to others. Your public profile shows a location label rather than your stored profile coordinates. Other members see a task’s location label and its place rounded to about 100 metres; the exact place and address are shown only to the poster and the doer they hire. Choose a task location with this visibility in mind.

Locations in a task chat. Once someone is hired for a task, the poster and the hired doer can choose to send each other their location in the task’s chat: a pin, a GPS photo (a photo with where and when it was taken, which we also record with it), or live location for a time they pick. Only the other person in that chat sees it, and only when you choose to send it. Like any photo sent in a chat before the task is paid for, a GPS photo is also checked for contact details, automatically and by Quicc’s team when the check flags it. Live location keeps only your latest position, and deletes it when sharing stops, when the time runs out or when the task ends. Pins and GPS photos stay in the chat like other messages.

To request removal of saved location information, contact support. Approved account deletion clears your profile location, but does not automatically erase locations in existing posts or other retained records.

5. Identity verification

Quicc verifies the people who do tasks (doers). Posters are never asked for ID. Verification documents are not displayed to other members.

Doer verification

A doer needs approval to send offers, be hired for a task and receive task payments. Doers verify with DigiLocker when Quicc offers it. Otherwise, and for a request already sent with photos, a doer verifies with photos of their ID, as described further below. We record your consent to verification: the version you agreed to, when you agreed and the device you used. As part of it, you agree that we check the details, ID photos and selfie you submit to verify you, or, with DigiLocker, the details and checks described next, and that we share your name, PAN, contact details, address and bank details, with your email and phone number, with Razorpay to set up your payout account and pay your earnings. Already verified doers stay verified and are not asked again.

Verifying with DigiLocker

DigiLocker is the Government of India’s digital document service. Our verification partner, Cashfree Payments, connects Quicc to it and carries out the checks below. You sign in to DigiLocker on its own page and choose to share your Aadhaar and, if it is there, your PAN. Quicc never sees your DigiLocker sign-in or one-time codes, and never receives your full Aadhaar number.

  • From DigiLocker: the name, date of birth, gender, care-of name, address and photo on your Aadhaar and the last 4 digits of its number, and, when you share it, your PAN with the name and date of birth on it.
  • PAN check: if your PAN isn’t in DigiLocker, you type it in and Cashfree checks it against the Income Tax Department’s records, which say whether it is valid and give the name on it.
  • Bank account check: Cashfree checks your bank account number and IFSC with your bank, which says whether the account is valid and gives the name on it and the bank’s name. This can involve a small test credit to the account.
  • Selfie check: you take a selfie with your camera at that moment. Cashfree checks that it shows a real, live person (a liveness check) and compares it with the photo on your Aadhaar (a face match). This automated face comparison is used only to verify you.

We check that you are 18 or over and that your Aadhaar, PAN and bank account belong to you. Verification decisions use these automated checks and review by authorised staff, who can see the results and the photos. Your Razorpay payout account is set up only once you are approved. Cashfree handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.

We delete your Aadhaar photo and your selfie when your verification is decided, approved or not. We keep the results of the checks, the name, date of birth, gender, care-of name and address from your Aadhaar and its last 4 digits, and your PAN and bank details, with your verification record, as section 9 describes.

Verifying with photos

A doer submits their full name, date of birth, PAN, bank account number and IFSC, email and postal address, a photo ID and a selfie. Authorised staff review each submission to assess identity, address discrepancies and help prevent misuse. When you verify with photos, Quicc does not carry out Aadhaar OTP or biometric authentication.

Your photo ID

The photo ID confirms your name and date of birth. Aadhaar is optional: you choose which ID to send.

  • A masked Aadhaar: a photo or screenshot of the front only. Cover the first 8 digits of the Aadhaar number so only the last 4 are visible, or use the masked Aadhaar from myAadhaar. We don’t ask for the back of the card, which shows the full number again. You also type in the last 4 digits of the number, which we store encrypted so our team can check them against your photo.
  • A PAN card: a photo or screenshot of the front.

Quicc never needs your full Aadhaar number, and our team does not approve an Aadhaar photo that shows it.

Your selfie

The selfie checks that the ID is yours. It is taken with your camera at that moment, in the app or on the website, and can’t be chosen from your files or gallery. Our team compares it with the photo on your ID.

ID photos

Uploaded ID photos and selfies are stored encrypted with your verification record, and only authorised Quicc staff can see them. They are never shown to other members.

We delete your ID photos and selfie 30 days after your request is decided: approved, rejected, or replaced when you send new photos. If your account has an open fraud flag at that time, we keep them until the flag is cleared and delete them 30 days after that. The rest of your verification record, including the one-way fingerprints below, is kept as section 9 describes.

One identity per account

One person can have only one Quicc account. To stop one identity being used on several accounts, we keep one-way fingerprints made from your verification details. With DigiLocker, these include a fingerprint made from your Aadhaar details, used only for this check and for the free-fees days below. A fingerprint can’t be turned back into the details it came from, and fingerprints are kept after the photos are deleted, as section 9 describes. When you submit verification, we check it against other Quicc accounts: details already verified on another account can’t be verified again. We may also limit how often verification can be submitted, pause verification for a while or review an account for fraud.

Free-fees days. The free-fees days are given once per person, not once per account. To keep to that, we keep one-way fingerprints made from your account, device and verification details with the date you first joined Quicc, including after your account is deleted, and use them only for this and to prevent misuse. If you join again, the same days continue instead of starting again.

Approved doer verification shows a verification badge. A badge does not guarantee a member’s conduct, skills or the outcome of a task.

6. Payments and bank information

Razorpay processes payment details entered through its checkout. While you pay, Razorpay’s checkout, in the app and on the website, also collects its own device and diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system, network details and crash reports, to process the payment, prevent fraud and fix problems. Razorpay handles this under its own privacy policy. Quicc keeps transaction references, amounts, fees, payment status and refund and payout records. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay. We do not store payment card numbers, CVV codes or UPI PINs in Quicc’s application database.

Doers are paid through Razorpay Route. Razorpay holds the Doer’s share of a payment until the work is accepted, then pays it into the Doer’s verified bank account. To set this up, we share your verification and bank details with Razorpay, which creates a payout account for you and may run its own checks. Razorpay handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Quicc collects your account-holder name, IFSC and an encrypted full bank account number during doer verification, and uses them for payouts, along with payout account and payment references. The app displays masked bank details.

7. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information needed to deliver the service in the following ways:

  • Other members: profile information, posts and reviews are visible according to the feature you use. Messages, proposals and submissions are available to the members involved in them. See section 4 for post-location visibility.
  • Payments and payouts: Razorpay processes payments, refunds and payouts. We share your verification, contact and bank details with Razorpay to create your payout account and pay you, and payment records to process refunds and transfers.
  • Chargebacks: if a payment is disputed with a bank or card issuer, we may share the relevant records, such as the proposal, messages, submitted work, payment and consent records and related device and network records, with Razorpay and the banks involved to respond.
  • Identity checks: Cashfree Payments connects Quicc to DigiLocker and checks your PAN, bank account and selfie when you verify with DigiLocker, as section 5 describes. It receives what each check needs: your PAN and name, your bank account number, IFSC and name, and your selfie with your Aadhaar photo. Cashfree handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Sign-in and notifications: Quicc manages authentication. OTP providers such as MSG91 support phone verification, and Firebase Cloud Messaging supports push delivery where enabled.
  • App analytics: Google Analytics for Firebase receives the app usage events and device identifiers described in section 2, including, on Android, the advertising ID, so we can measure and improve the app and measure Quicc’s Google Ads campaigns. The events carry no names, phone numbers or message content, and they are not used to show ads in Quicc. Google handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy, and keeps it for no longer than the retention period we set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months). Section 10 explains how to limit it.
  • Hosting and media: infrastructure and storage providers process uploaded images, documents and attachments. Storage may include Amazon S3, depending on the service configuration.
  • Place search and maps: search queries and relevant coordinates may be processed by location providers, including Mappls and OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service.
  • AI features: when you use AI drafting or assistant chat, your prompt, submitted chat history and relevant post context, such as location labels and budget, may be sent to OpenAI or another configured AI service provider. When you turn on voice mode in the Quicc app, the text of each Quicc AI reply, which can include names and words from the tasks, offers and proposals it talks about, is sent to OpenAI to be read aloud to you; what you say is still turned into text by your device’s own speech recognition, as section 2 describes. Avoid including sensitive information unnecessary for your request.
  • Chat summaries: when a poster asks Quicc AI or a connected AI app to summarise a task chat, the recent messages of both members in that chat, with contact details and addresses removed, are sent to OpenAI to write the summary, as section 3 describes. OpenAI handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Safety checks and matching: OpenAI receives the profiles, tasks, questions and answers, reviews and portfolio works listed in section 3 for the automatic safety checks, and the task and profile text listed there for matching tasks and people. OpenAI handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Dispute review and support replies: when a paid task is disputed, OpenAI receives the task chat’s messages, the dispute’s messages and any request to cancel, the delivered work and the text of its files, the text of pages linked in those messages, and the photos the poster and the doer shared in that chat or delivered as the work, with contact details, addresses and ID or bank numbers removed from the text and location details removed from the photos, as section 3 describes. Pictures on linked pages, scanned PDF pages, profile photos and identity documents are never sent. Support requests’ messages, with contact details removed, may be sent to draft replies that a person checks before sending. OpenAI handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Quicc’s bookkeeping: Quicc’s own bank statements can name people Quicc pays, such as referral partners. They may be read and sorted with OpenAI for Quicc’s accounts. Before anything is sent, account and phone numbers, email addresses, UPI IDs and the names of people in payment descriptions are masked.
  • Connected AI apps: if you connect an outside AI app, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, to your account, or make a personal token for one, we share with it only what you allowed when connecting it, and only when it asks on your behalf: your tasks and the offers on them, summaries of your task chats, the photos and files a doer delivered as the work on your tasks, what you spent and earned and, for doers, open tasks nearby. Other members appear by first name, rating and area. We never share phone numbers, email addresses, exact addresses, identity or bank details, or the chat messages themselves. The app’s own terms and privacy policy govern what it does with the information. We keep a record of what connected apps asked for and did on your account for 90 days. You can disconnect an app at any time in Settings → Connected apps.
  • Support, safety and legal requests: authorised personnel may review relevant content and records to resolve issues. Information may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address fraud, enforceable requests or threats to safety. This includes sharing account, payment, KYC, bank, device and network records with law enforcement agencies on a valid legal request.

The providers used depend on the feature and service configuration. Some providers may process information outside India. Applicable requirements govern those transfers; contact us for questions about processing relevant to your account.

8. Cookies, device storage and security

The website uses a session-refresh cookie and browser storage for functions such as keeping you signed in, caching your profile and remembering a selected location. The website and the mobile app also keep identifiers on your device, the app including through secure device storage, and send them with the app or website version when you use Quicc, to keep your account secure and prevent fraud. In the app, Google Analytics for Firebase also keeps its own identifier on your device and, on Android, reads the advertising ID, for the app analytics described in section 7.

You can manage cookies and site data through browser settings. Clearing them may sign you out or reset preferences, but does not delete your account or server records. Device identifiers may remain on the device after logout.

We use access controls, session protections and encryption for stored PAN and bank account numbers, Aadhaar last 4 digits, uploaded ID photos, Aadhaar photos from DigiLocker and selfies. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep sign-in codes private and contact support if you suspect unauthorised access.

9. Retention and account deletion

We retain account information to operate the service and relevant records for payment reconciliation, disputes, security and applicable legal obligations. The period depends on the type of record and why it is needed.

Request account deletion from Settings → Delete account on the website, or Profile → Settings → Help & Support → Account Deletion in the mobile app. Our Delete your Quicc account page explains the steps, including how to ask if you can’t sign in. Our team reviews requests. If you never finished setting up your profile, you are signed out on every device as soon as you ask, and your account is deleted 24 hours after your request. Deletion cannot finish while a task payment, payout, refund, dispute or chargeback is still open, while a task you are part of has been paid for, or while a task you posted has someone hired for it.

When approved, account access is closed, active sessions are revoked and selected profile details, including name, contact details and profile location, are cleared or replaced. This does not automatically erase all associated records: transaction and bank records, verification submissions, messages, posts and related activity may remain. We keep payment, invoice, KYC and payout records, and fraud and security records such as device and network identifiers, for as long as the law requires and while a chargeback or fraud investigation needs them. Your PAN, bank account, identity documents, address and date of birth from verification are erased three years after the account is deleted, unless a chargeback, payout review or fraud investigation still needs them. ID photos and selfies go sooner: 30 days after the verification decision, or 30 days after an open fraud flag is cleared (section 5). With DigiLocker, the Aadhaar photo and selfie are deleted at the decision. The one-way fingerprints of verification details (section 5) are erased with the account’s other verification records; for accounts banned for fraud, we keep these fingerprints after deletion, so the same identity can’t be used on a new account. We also keep the one-way fingerprints used for the free-fees days, with the date the account first joined Quicc, so joining again continues the same free-fees days instead of starting new ones (section 5). When account deletion is approved, we also close your Razorpay payout account once any payout to it has settled; Quicc and Razorpay still keep the payment, payout and invoice records the law requires. Contact us to request review or removal of retained personal information, subject to applicable obligations and the rights of other members.

10. Your choices and requests

You can update available profile fields through Settings. To request access to your information, a copy, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent, email support@quicc.app or our Grievance Officer. Account-data copies are requested through support. You can also nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

You can see the AI apps and personal tokens connected to your account, and disconnect them, in Settings → Connected apps on the website or in the app. Disconnecting stops their access at once.

You can change location, camera, microphone and notification permissions in device or browser settings. Restricting a permission may limit the related feature. Withdrawal of consent does not reverse processing already carried out; information may still be retained where another applicable basis or legal obligation requires it.

App analytics. On Android, you can reset or delete your device’s advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in Settings → Google → Ads. On iPhone and iPad, Quicc doesn’t use the advertising identifier.

We will respond to privacy requests within 30 days, or sooner where applicable law requires. If more information is needed, we will explain what is required.
